OPERATOR (DEMOLITION) REQUIRED

Are you an experienced Demolition Operator looking to join a trusted and reputable demolition company? If so, we have openings for talented Operators who want to join a successful operation and help it grow!

THE ROLE

The Demolition Operator is responsible for performing demolition work required for residential and small commercial structures in accordance with project guidelines.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and understand pre-project requirements including checklists, scope of work and required equipment and manpower
  • Conduct hazard assessments and report to management any gaps or barriers to commence project work, hazardous conditions, incidents, near misses or situations
  • Ensure project site is ready and safe to commence work (including required PPE)
  • Perform pre and post-trip inspections on equipment, perform general maintenance to ensure equipment is operating properly and report any inefficiencies to the Field Manager
  • Fuel and operate heavy equipment as required for demolition
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with the Field Manager at all times regarding attendance and absences, manpower requirements, repairs on machines, project requirements and scheduling, and client changes and potential project delays resulting in a change order(s)
  • Advise the Field Manager required inventory for the equipment including tools, replacement parts, tires, fuel, etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and provincial rules and regulations

OUR OPERATORS MUST HAVE:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of related heavy equipment operation experience
  • A high level of awareness of surroundings, obstacles and barriers while performing demolition work

Along with the above requirements, our Operators must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, possess strong communication and customer service skills and have the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. The Operators must be prepared to work in all types of weather conditions and work a flexible schedule and may be asked to work additional hours during the busy season.

 

Compensation: $35 per hour to start.

The Excavator Operator is responsible for performing excavations required for residential and small commercial structures in accordance with project guidelines.

  • Conduct hazard assessments and report to management any gaps or barriers to commence project work, hazardous conditions, incidents, near misses or situations
  • Ensure project site is ready and safe to commence work (including required PPE)
  • Perform pre and post-trip inspections on equipment, perform general maintenance to ensure equipment is operating properly and report any inefficiencies to the Field Manager
  • Fuel and operate heavy equipment as required for excavation
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with the Field Manager at all times regarding attendance and absences, manpower requirements, repairs on machinery and truck, project requirements and scheduling, and client changes and potential project delays resulting in a change order(s)
  • Advise the Field Manager on required inventory for the excavator and other equipment including equipment tools, replacement parts, tires, fuel, etc.
